From Cary, IL: Eliminate These 5 Divorce-Causing Demons And Save Your Marriage Before It's Too Late!

The following are the 5 main reasons that couples seek counseling. Know them now and prevent marital disaster later.

Cheating is an all too frequent reason why spouses seek therapy. A spouse may become unfaithful because of marital issues that the couple have failed to resolve in time.

Around the globe, infidelity is a major reason people pursue relationship counseling. If you are one of these couples, it's important to pursue counseling immediately-before it's too late!

Communication Breakdown

"Communication Breakdown" is not only the title of an old Led Zeppelin" song but also a universal reason for marriage breakdown. Not surprisingly, how you communicate is the key to the durability of your marriage or relationship. Do it well, and you stay together for life. Do it poorly, and you invite disaster.

It is crucial to have open, non-judgmental communication with your spouse and discuss your plans, problems and achievements at work and at home. Also, put on the table, your worries and other issues that cause you anxiety or insecurity in or out of your relationship.

This will be helpful to you in strengthening and deepening your bond. Communication between you and your spouse is absolutely essential to prevent the foundation of your marriage from crumbling and becoming just a horrid memory.

Without authentic dialogue and communication, many couples feel they are becoming estranged from each other, more and more each day. Some opt for a lawyer; the more hopeful choose a counselor or therapist.

Those seeking a lawyer believe their problems are just too big and have become insoluble. Those seeking a counselor believe it may be possible to find a resolution with determination and optimism with the guidance of an experienced expert.

Domestic Violence or Emotional Abuse

Domestic violence among couples is one of the most compelling
reasons to get urgent counseling. When considering counseling, or even divorce, several different types of abuse can be the triggers.

These include forms of bodily, emotional, and sexual abuse. Often, a spouse's true colors won't show until formidable stress occurs in his life or marriage. Then, watch out!

Some spouses, usually husbands, demonstrate abusive behavior that can actually infringe on a spouse's legal human rights. Abusive partners are often psychologically disturbed, very dysfunctional and even criminal.

For example, abusive husbands can be physically and/or sexually abusive to their spouses and, even their children, while
others often publicly humiliate their wives.

Lack of Self-Control

Humility is absolutely required when spouses conflict when trying to problem-solve. Spouses must learn to disclose their feelings assertively, collaboratively and diplomatically.

Losing control causes relentless, unending fighting and is usually caused by too much ego. Being open-ended in discussions and collaborative in attitude requires a healthy dose of humility.

Relationships in which both partners always want to control, direct, manipulate or dominate the other will most usually end in divorce court unless professional counseling is quickly received.

Personality Incompatibility

Personality incompatibility causes many divorces. It is not unusual that one spouse suddenly finds the others personality too overwhelming or confusing to cope with.

For example, one partner may discover that the other may be too lazy to work or may not care about actively parenting the kids or educating them. The husband might be too demanding, while his partner is too submissive or even fearful.

This dysfunctional pattern creates a family that is not only unsuitable for raising children but can cause serious emotional illness in them.

Incompatibility in Mindset, Attitudes and Goals

Couples also should share similar attitudes, goals and values to
make relationships last a lifetime. However, because partners will often find some differences in attitudes and values, they need to reconcile them or TRULY accept them in order to remain committed, have a rewarding quality of life and a fruitful future.

Marriage partners seek a divorce,or often seek counseling when differences start feeling insurmountable or just too stressful. Some of these conflicts include drinking, drugs, sexuality, in-laws, parenting and, yes, even religion.

Other reasons prompting pursuit of marriage counseling include, but are not limited to, infidelity, financial trouble, intellectual incompatibility, criminal behavior or other legal issues confronting one or other. It is crucial to seek advice from a professional counselor, no matter what marital problems you may have.

You may find one by searching the Internet. But don't wait! The rest of your life may depend on it.
